Holiday Charcuterie Board

It’s the holiday season and this holiday inspired charcuterie board is perfect for serving as the opening act for any holiday dinner. Typically in my house I spend most of the day cooking and so having one of these boards on hand for the littles to nosh on before dinner is a life saver.

This recipe is really a method as you can alter the board to accommodate your own taste preferences or what you may have on hand at your local grocery store or farmer’s market.

Whatever I have on hand, though, I typically have the following on the board: cheese, meat, fruit, nuts, rounded out with a couple of other accoutrements. When I choose my cheese then that help shape which fruits I will add to the plate to help balance out the flavors. For nuts, in the fall I usually go pecans, walnuts, or pistachios. And as for other board fillers: crackers, olives, and dried fruits are usually my go to.

It’s perfect to sit at room temp for a couple of hours and have a bottle of wine or two to pair with the board for the adults would be amazing!

If you try It, let me know what you think!
