Tahini Smoothie Bowl

You guys! This smoothie bowl is delicious!

I love my smoothies but smoothie bowls are more filling to me - like a meal!

The base is bananas and tahini. Tahini is similar in nutritional profile but is a safer alternative for someone with nut allergy. Plus have you ever made hummus and wanted to know what to do with all the leftover tahini? Make this.

Maca Powder is added to give a bit of an energy boost as well as helps with improving mood and brain function. A perfect addition to start your day.

You can top your smoothie bowl with whatever toppings you like - but I would highly recommend the fresh mint leaves - its so amazing here. Surprisingly fresh and is a great flavor profile in this smoothie bowl.

Also, if you want to boost the nutritional profile up a notch, go get you some Victory Dance Foods juiced granola.  I used the matcha variety which has kale, matcha, cucumber, pineapple, green apple, and ginger. It is delish and complements this bowl so well! You can find all their products HERE and use code: Queenship for 20% off your purchase.

Let me know if you give it a try!

Ingredients

Smoothie Bowl

  • 2 large frozen bananas
  • 2 tbsp tahini
  • 1/4 c almond milk
  • 1 medjool date
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla paste
  • 1 tbsp maca powder
  • 1 tbsp hemp hearts
  • 1/2 tsp pink himalayan sea salt

Toppings

  • Granola - I used Victory Dance Foods Matcha granola (You can check them out HERE )
  • Mint leaves
  • fresh figs
  • blackberries
  • blueberries
  • coconut flakes
  • cacao nibs

Instructions

  1. Add all of the ingredients for the smoothie bowl in a high powered blender and blend until smooth. I find using a tamper helps with blending - as there is not a lot of liquid to help it blend.
  2. Pour into a bowl and top with your favorite toppings.
