Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie Bowl

Peanut Butter Chocolate? Yes, please! My 13 year old loves his PB smoothies and this is a more filling option that can be customized to your own taste preferences. Typically, I like to top our smoothie bowls with nuts, hemp hearts, coconut flakes, chia seeds, and granola for some added texture.

It’s absolutely delicious.

Ingredients

  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 2-3 tbsp almond milk
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp raw cacao powder
  • 1 tbsp maca powder
  • Optional: scoop of protein powder

Toppings:

  • Unsweetened coconut flakes
  • Chia seeds
  • Cacao nibs
  • Nuts (I used walnuts)
  • Bananas sliced
  • Granola

Instructions

  1. Add bananas, almond milk, peanut butter, cacao powder, maca powder and protein powder (if using) into a high speed blender. I use a vitamix.
  2. Blend until smooth - it will be very thick. Add almond milk a tbsp at a time if needed to help the blender along.
  3. Serve immediately with desired toppings.
