Ingredients
PEPPERCORN BUTTER
- 1/2 c unsalted butter, room temperature
- 2 tsp thyme, chopped
- 2 tsp pink peppercorn
- 2 tsp honey
- salt and pepper
STEAK
- 1 porterhouse steak
- steak rub seasoning
- salt
- olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
Instructions
PEPPERCORN BUTTER
- In a small bowl, stir together the butter, thyme, pink peppercorn, honey, salt, pepper and set aside.
STEAK
- Season steak with steak rub seasoning, salt, and olive oil.
- Heat a cast iron skillet over medium high heat.
- Melt butter and add steak.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium rare.
- Remove, transfer to a cutting board, and let rest for 10 minutes.
- Serve with peppercorn butter on top.
