Ingredients

PEPPERCORN BUTTER

  • 1/2 c unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 2 tsp thyme, chopped
  • 2 tsp pink peppercorn
  • 2 tsp honey
  • salt and pepper

STEAK

  • 1 porterhouse steak
  • steak rub seasoning
  • salt
  • olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter

Instructions

PEPPERCORN BUTTER

  1. In a small bowl, stir together the butter, thyme, pink peppercorn, honey, salt, pepper and set aside.

STEAK

  1. Season steak with steak rub seasoning, salt, and olive oil.
  2. Heat a cast iron skillet over medium high heat.
  3. Melt butter and add steak.
  4. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium rare.
  5. Remove, transfer to a cutting board, and let rest for 10 minutes.
  6. Serve with peppercorn butter on top.
