Ingredients

  • 14 oz milk
  • 1/2 inch knob of fresh turmeric
  • 1/2 inch knob of fresh ginger
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp ground vanilla bean powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1 star anise
  • Heavy pinch of black pepper
  • 2 shots of espresso
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Add the all of the ingredients (except the espresso and ice) into a saucepan and bring just to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes.
  2. Strain and let cool in the refrigerator.
  3. Add ice to a glass, pour over espresso shots, and add turmeric milk.
