Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte

Ingredients

Strawberry Layer

  • 1/3 c fresh strawberries (can use frozen)
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar

Matcha Layer

  • 2 tbsp matcha powder
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 c hot water

Milk Layer

  • 1/2 c milk of choice (I used 2%)

Tools Needed:

  • Handheld milk frother
  • small bowl
  • potato masher or a blender
  • small strainer

Instructions

  1. For the Strawberry Layer: add strawberries and sugar to a bowl and gently mash together with a potato masher. Please note: for a smoother consistency you can run the strawberries and sugar through a blender quickly.
  2. For the Matcha Layer: add matcha, sugar, and hot water. Using the hand held milk frother, blend for 30 seconds. Set aside.
  3. Add milk to a container, and using the hand held milk frother, begin to froth your milk until you reach your desired consistency. Set aside.
  4. Add strawberry purée to the bottom of a tall glass.
  5. Add ice.
  6. Pour in frothed milk.
  7. Stir in matcha mixture.
  8. Garnish with a strawberry and serve immediately.
