Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte

Ingredients
Strawberry Layer
- 1/3 c fresh strawberries (can use frozen)
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
Matcha Layer
- 2 tbsp matcha powder
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1/4 c hot water
Milk Layer
- 1/2 c milk of choice (I used 2%)
Tools Needed:
- Handheld milk frother
- small bowl
- potato masher or a blender
- small strainer
Instructions
- For the Strawberry Layer: add strawberries and sugar to a bowl and gently mash together with a potato masher. Please note: for a smoother consistency you can run the strawberries and sugar through a blender quickly.
- For the Matcha Layer: add matcha, sugar, and hot water. Using the hand held milk frother, blend for 30 seconds. Set aside.
- Add milk to a container, and using the hand held milk frother, begin to froth your milk until you reach your desired consistency. Set aside.
- Add strawberry purée to the bottom of a tall glass.
- Add ice.
- Pour in frothed milk.
- Stir in matcha mixture.
- Garnish with a strawberry and serve immediately.
