Ingredients
- 1 whole garlic bulb
- olive oil
- 8-12 ct shrimp, peeled and deveined
- garlic powder
- blackened seasoning
- 4 sticks unsalted European butter, room temperature
- flaky salt
- zest from 1 lime
- cilantro
- crunchy chili oil
- honey
- choice of crusty bread, crostini, and|or sliced sourdough
Tools Needed
- Aluminum foil
- small baking sheet
- saute pan
- small bowl
- hand grater
- knife
- a wooden board
Instructions
Roasted Garlic
- Preheat oven to 400
- Trim the top 1/4 inch off the top of the garlic bulb.
- Place the garlic cut-side up on a piece of foil, drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt.
- Wrap the garlic in foil, place on a small baking sheet, and roast for approximately 45 minutes.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool.
Blackened Shrimp
- Add shrimp to a small bowl, drizzle with olive oil, season with garlic powder and blackened seasoning.
- Add shrimp to pan and cook for approximately 2-3 min on each side (time dependent on size of shrimp).
- Remove from and set aside.
- Build your Butter Board
- Add softened butter to your board. You want to layer it with a swirling motion on to the board.
- Begin to layer your toppings: flaky salt, roasted garlic cloves, lime zest, cilantro, and a drizzle of honey.
- Serve with blackened shrimp and bread of choice.
